The bespoke woodworking husband and wife team Kellie and Jason Sartain, owners of Sartains Awesome Shoppe in Bellville, Texas will entertain and educate with their workshop How to survive…Renovating a house with a spouse! The Sartains current project, the complete renovation of a vintage farmhouse for their toughest client yet…themselves. Hear about everything from unexpected structural surprises to lively discussions about design choices all while raising six kids—you can expect plenty of humor from the Sartains. Workshops will be held both days at the show!



Charley Fisher - Fall and Beginner Gardening Classes
Urban Garden Plants

Charley Fisher from Urban Garden Plants, will help homeowners get cranking on fall garden plans with two free workshops Just add water: A Fall Garden Starter Kit including a starter kit complete with seedlings, plants and fall plan, plus The Beginner’s Guide to Fall Container Plants. Both workshops are free and held each day, but space is limited so register at Urban Garden Plants online.

The Posh Plank serves up a slate of ideas on fall and holiday grazing boards at Charcuterie BOARDing School. With the holidays quickly approaching, take the guess work out of what to stock up on at home so you have something to take to the party or have on hand for “pop in” guests! Attendees will walk away with tips and creative ways to elevate their boards to take them to the next level! Walk away with a fun recipe, some creative ideas and a flavorful bite!

A bread-tastic Sourdough & Gut Health Workshop will be presented by health and wellness expert and enthusiast Andrea Bohn from Juice Plus. Get everything you need to make bread at the show and bake at home including a mixing bowl, starter, a dutch whisk, tea towel, mini spatula, and mason jar plus a 103-year-old sourdough dehydrated mother to keep the process going.

Katy kids mean business! Come shop the Youth Entrepreneur Market featuring over 10 Katy-area students ages 6-17 selling their unique products. These kids have their own small business models and have learned things like idea implementation, product cost, packaging, budgeting, ROI etc. Some of the items budding entrepreneurs will have to offer include: bookmarks, bird feeders, soaps, jewelry, succulents, games, puzzles, clothes, cotton candy and lemonade. Have fun supporting young entrepreneurs in the making!
